Letter to Parents
Thank you for sharing the precious gift of your daughter with Sigma Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta at the University of Texas. The friendships and experiences she will have here will last a lifetime. Every member of our organization makes a difference, sharing the same principles defined in our open motto: “Let us strive for that which is honorable, beautiful, and highest.” Kappa Delta members constantly encourage and support one another, providing each other a sense of community, family, and home away from home.
Our Chapter holds its members to high academic standards. Our chapter GPA is 3.444, ranking us third of the fourteen sororities on campus. Members are required to maintain at least a 2.85 GPA per semester. Above all else, academic achievement is our #1 priority, and many resources are provided in order to ensure each member’s success at the University of Texas.
In addition to academics, our sorority is actively involved in the community. We support several philanthropies including Prevent Child Abuse America, Girl Scouts of America, Children’s Hospital of Richmond Virginia, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons Research. Our events include our annual Shamrock Golf Tournament, helping girl scouts earn badges, and catered events called “Kickback with KD” and “KD Quesadillas.”
Of course, the success of our Chapter is not possible without the unfailing support of our loving parents. We appreciate all of the time you and your daughter have already committed to making the Sigma Epsilon Chapter of Kappa Delta even greater here at the University of Texas.
